Sports Day - 12th July

Dear Parent/Guardian

I am delighted to confirm that this year the Academy Sports Day will be taking place on Friday 12^th July. Our sports day will be held on the academy site during the normal school day. All students in years 9&10 will compete lessons 1,2 and 3 and all students in years 7&8, will compete lessons 4,5 and 6. Students will attend normal lessons when not competing.

All pupils are expected to attend school at the normal time of 8.35am and report to their tutor group. There will be no changes to the timings of the school day and break and lunchtimes will be as normal.

Students are allowed to come to school in their full GSA PE kit with appropriate footwear to compete. Any student not in GSA PE kit will not be able to participate. Students should also come prepared with any sun hats/sunglasses, sun cream and plenty of water to drink in the event of hot weather. This is more important than ever this year as pupils will not be sitting under cover and there is no shade. Can parents also please ensure that students with any medical needs bring any necessary medical equipment e.g. inhaler, epipens, insulin, to have in their bag with them at all times.
