I am the proud Vice Principal responsible for the Quality of Education at George Salter Academy. Born in Birmingham and raised in Redditch, I attended the University of Worcester and pursued a career in teaching, driven by a lifelong passion for education. As an experienced and passionate educator with a strong background in the humanities, I have always been committed to bringing out the best in the children I work with. I believe in the power of student voice and the importance of creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment. I started as a Learning Support Practitioner, and qualified as a teacher a few years later. I have held a range of leadership roles, including Head of House, Assistant Principal with responsibility for attendance, Early Career Teachers (ECT), and Initial Teacher Training (ITT), and Vice Principal overseeing behaviour and attendance. Currently, as Vice Principal for Quality of Education, I focus on ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning across the Academy. A Specialist Leader in Education, I am dedicated to driving educational excellence and supporting the professional development of staff to help all students succeed. Outside of teaching, I am a very proud parent of two daughters and enjoy balancing family life with a commitment to making a positive impact in education.

Adrian Price, BA (Hons) French & History, NPQEL, is proud to be the Principal of George Salter Academy. He grew up four miles away and just loves being a die-hard Aston Villa supporting head of a West Bromwich academy! He is an experienced leader, having moved to GSA for his second headship. He has worked in a variety of educational settings in Birmingham, Walsall, Worcester and Thailand. Adrian speaks French fluently, Spanish and conversational, now mostly golf course and restaurant quality, Thai. He believes passionately in the power of learning a foreign language to develop empathy, inter-cultural understanding and communication. Adrian’s own motivations are very simple: for young people to be safe, happy, enjoy learning and achieve beyond their potential. He strives to raise aspirations and make a positive difference to the lives of students and staff alike.
As his children have now grown up and left home, when not in work, Adrian can mostly be found out running 10ks or half-marathons, reading a book or at the cinema.
