Medical Mavericks Visit

On Friday our Year 10 students were visited by Medical Mavericks who visit schools around the UK inspiring students to make more informed decisions about their career choices.

Students were introduced to a range of careers within the healthcare sector and were able to have a go at lots of different hands on activities including taking blood pressure, checking vital signs, taking blood from a dummy arm, using a ultrasound machine, performing ‘key hole surgery’ and many more.

Student feedback was excellent and it was really good to see many students using the opportunity to ask our visitors questions about their own career paths. This opportunity was funded through our work with Aspire to Higher Education.
