Food Science Trip to UCB

Some of our post 16 Food Science students visited the training restaurant at University College Birmingham on Friday to experience a service in a fine dining setting. UCB has produced some of the countries best chefs including Brad Carter and 2021 Masterchef winner Daniel Lee.

Our students were treated to a 3 course meal with options including Duck, Lamb, Sea Bass, Salmon and a Pithivier on offer. The quality of the food and standard of service was excellent and all students enjoyed the experience.

My favourite quote from a student was “I’ve never been to a restaurant where they give you napkins before”.
