Mental Health Awareness Week

It’s Mental Health Awareness Week!

The Mental Health Foundation are raising awareness on the powerful benefits nature has on our mental health. Connecting with nature helps us to reduce stress, increase creativity, empathy and our sense of wonder. Going for a walk outdoors, spending time in your garden or being around animals can improve your mood, reduce feelings of anxiety or stress and help you feel more relaxed.

We are encouraging our George Salter family this week to experience nature, share your connection with nature with others and talk about the benefits nature has on our wellbeing.

Please click here to view our #connectwithnature poster which has some fantastic nature walk suggestions and places to visit in Sandwell and Dudley.

Thank you to our Head of English Mrs Duncan for the wonderful photograph.
