RE: End of Academic Year Letter to Parents and Carers
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we come to the end of another successful academic year at George Salter Academy, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, families and staff for their support, commitment and dedication throughout the year.
This year has been one of achievement, growth and resilience. Our students have continued to demonstrate ambition in their learning, represented the Academy with pride and made positive contributions to our school community. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished.
The final day of term will be Friday 17 July 2026. The Academy will operate as normal, with all students expected onsite by 8.30am. Students will finish at 1.00pm, following an earlier lunch service from 12.00pm.
A Message of Thanks to Adrian Price
As we reach the end of term, I would also like to acknowledge the retirement of Adrian Price from George Salter Academy.
Over many years of dedicated service, Adrian has made a significant contribution to the Academy, its students, staff and wider community. His leadership, commitment and unwavering belief in young people have helped shape the school and support the success of countless students.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to serve George Salter Academy as Principal and Senior Principal for more than eight years. This school is truly in my DNA, and throughout my time here I have given it my all.” Adrian Price.
On behalf of our students, families, governors and staff, I would like to thank Adrian for his service and wish him a long, healthy and happy retirement.
