End of Term Letter from Mr Price

Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been an honour and a privilege to serve George Salter Academy as Principal and Senior Principal for more than eight years. This school is truly in my DNA, and throughout my time here I have given it my all.

As I reflect on my journey, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. There have been so many special moments, achievements, and successes to celebrate. I will always remember the smiles, the conversations, the shared experiences, and, above all, the way this incredible school community has made me feel. George Salter has never simply been a place of work for me; it has been a place of belonging.

I have always said that our greatest strength is our young people. I absolutely love the students of George Salter Academy. Their kindness, humour, ambition, and character never cease to amaze me. The world is undoubtedly a better place because George’s young people are in it, and I have every confidence that they will continue to achieve great things in the years ahead.

I have also been fortunate to work alongside some truly exceptional professionals. Over the years, I have been supported by some very talented, dedicated, and deeply child-centred colleagues who go above and beyond every single day. Their unwavering commitment to ensuring that every student matters has been at the heart of everything we have achieved together.

Thank you to all of our parents and carers for your trust, support, and partnership. The success of our school is built on the strength of the relationships between home and academy, and I am incredibly grateful for the encouragement and kindness you have shown me throughout my time here.  Your support has not been taken for granted.

While it is difficult to say goodbye, I leave knowing that George Salter Academy has a bright future ahead. I look forward to hearing about the academy’s many successes in the years to come as Mrs Bellingham leads the school to undoubtedly greater heights. I know that George Salter will continue to flourish under her leadership.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your children’s lives and your family’s journey. I will always cherish my time at George Salter Academy.
