The psychology specification considers the nature of psychology as a science. It is for all those with a lively, enquiring and critical mind, an abiding interest in human behaviour, and who are not prepared to accept things at face value.

As well as studying Psychology at degree level, in the workplace Psychology is seen as a good basis for a wide range of professions where working with other people is central such as:

AS Modules/Units

  • Paper 1: Introductory topics in Psychology: Social influence, Memory, Attachments
  • Paper 2: Psychology in context: Approaches in Psychology and Biopsychology, Psychopathology, Research Methods

AS Assessment

  • 2 exams, each 1.5 hour long

 

A-Level Modules/Units
